We held our first ever Civilian First Responder event on July 8th at Calvary's Love in Johnson City. Becky McDonald, the president and founder of War International spoke for 3 sessions about the signs of sex trafficking and other aspects of human slavery, There was a sex-trafficked survivor who shared her story. Four breakouts were held: one by a counselor speaking on the aspects of trauma, another counselor spoke about porn and the grip it has, a young women from Safe Harbor and Crime Victims Abuse taught about the signs of sex abuse and trauma in teenagers and the last one was led by a law official who instructed what is done when a girl escapes and they try to prosecute the offender. It was an amazing day and we are planning ahead to do another one in the future. Stay tuned. Below are pictures from the event.
